Carmen's is a restaurant specializing in a classic Chicago style pizza. In addition to the very filling stuffed pizza they serve thin crust, which is also tasty. Carmen's pizzas come with all the usual toppings: spinach, sausage, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, green peppers and black olives, to name a few. In addition to serving pizza, Carmen's has a variety of Italian food on their menu. You can enjoy their pasta dishes, such as capellini, manicotti or linguine, or have a sandwich with either Italian beef or sausage. Their dessert menu is far less extensive, having only two items: cheese cake or Cannoli. The restaurant is located in downtown Evanston only a block away from the new Century Theatre. Although the outside of the restaurant is less than aesthetically pleasing, it is worth venturing inside, where it is much more pleasant. The restaurant is rather large with two floors and a large room that can be reserved for meetings or social gatherings. Carmen's pizza can be enjoyed in the restaurant, ordered or carried out. They also claim to specialize in catering many types of events ranging from weddings to business meetings.
